For the launch of the Nike LunarGlide+2, we collaborated with Nike Brand Design Media to create this all digital night run through the streets of Portland, showcasing how the technology inside the shoes adapts to the gait of different runners.
Working with Director Marshall Bex, Hinge’s asset creation team developed a photo-real replica of the LunarGlide+2 using product reference and texture swatches in order to hold up to extreme closeups in the crashdown moment. The shots of the athletes running in the city streets were entirely CG, using a combination of camera projection techniques, dramatic lighting effects, and hand crafted animation.
