Blacker is a video about a courageous excavation of a history lesser known to many. One that Black people have been washed out of. This video is meant to inspire, and empower Black People, that their history is deep, and they are blessed.
Hinge and Director Ime N. Etuk partnered for BLACKA music video to capture the graphic transformation of a black Christ and his mother transformed to a white version. We started with an original painting and created a white version of it modeled from other paintings from that period, then developed the visual “white washing” transition.
