Instead of designing a holiday card to send out to clients, our team decided to develop an augmented reality (AR) Xmas app. We had so much fun exploring the 8-bit style we created for Travel Oregon: The Game, we kept the party going in the app: 2D 8-bit versions of our team show off their fancy dance moves inside and around a minecraft-style block house, complete with crackling fireplace and smoking chimney, twinkling xmas trees and gently falling snow (cubes). For an extra bit of fun, we added a zombie defense mini-game, where the goal is to fend off the undead party-crashers for as long as possible. The AR game is free for iPhone or iPad on the app store.
